I would certainly agree with that.

However, young men have a strong sexual drive (I was one once ) whereas they do not have a corresponding drive to steal.

They do have a tendency to take unnecessary risks (all armies need young men as recruits) that can tip over into violence, including sexual violence.

While teaching sons to be moral, an extra reminder that sexual violence is neither manly nor ever justified is required, IMHO.

I'd be more worried if he had sons who would be carrying out porn fantasies with his mild disapproval. Or did he actually encourage it ?

There are far, far more male than female rapes in the US, due to prison rape. I'd like to think that a person can be re-educated, but one would have a tough time doing so in the US prison system.

    EDIT:

So much nonsense in this thread.

    1) Women rape just as much as men. Possibly more.

    2) Porn doesn't cause rape. It may prevent it.

I would be surprised if the empirical evidence suggested no link between the two, although I would be more inclined to think that porn might exacerbate existing problems, rather than turn men into rapists.

To be honest, I find that revolting.

Rape, abuse and sexual violence is endemic an US prisons, maybe in our own, but it should not be part of "routine punishment" in any civilized country.

Sexual assault is ridiculously common. Almost every woman I have ever asked has said they have been sexually assaulted in some respect at one stage. Trying to paint this as a small minority is another example of brushing the problem under the carpet. This issue needs to be addressed.

American prisons are horrible. I've read about it. Young blonde haired men but other men too are forced into sexual slavery and passed around between gangs.

I'd agree. Men with a propensity for rape suffer from either a lifelong inferiority complex or a superiority complex with sociopathic undertones.
