Here is o he study on business schools on irisheconomy (google business school rankings Tol)
    /
"QUB ranks 19th in the 2008 RAE; UU ranks 49th out of 90 business schools. Although the RAE uses a very different methodology, this suggests that TCD and UCD are on par with the best 20 business schools in the UK, while the other business schools in the Republic are more like the worst 40."

So. We have two business schools that are comparable with the top uk schools, themselves. Amongst the top in the world. If we want truly world class rankings then fund these two and not the others.

For example, the alleged obscenities you allege we're perpetrated. Or the alleged secret reports that are s egret to all bar you because they are negative. Or the alleged reluctance to teach.
    Give some facts.

Google yourself and make sure that we are not finding things that shouldn't be found

The university sector is very open, internationally, in recruitment. A large number of staff in Irish universities are from other countries, and by the same token, there are many Irish people working in universities abroad. In this environment salaries need to be competitive.

I object, strongly, to the notion that Education should be the servant of money ['generate revenue', 'research university' et al]. Third level activity is about the acquiring of knowledge, using that knowledge, and developing knowledge & experience in the process of uncovering new knowledge.

It's about time we re-learned that 'money' was intended as a servant, and not a master.
