    SOPA and PIPA have been shelved

    In a dramatic display of the power of online protest, a congressional vote on the anti-piracy bills Pipa and Sopa have been shelved after some of the internet's main players demanded a legislative rethink.

    Some victory for the Internet but no doubt the vested interests will be back to try and reign in the net.

    They will be back have no doubt that the vested interests and their lap dogs in congress will try to renew this attack, no matter how opposed the public are!!!

    They'll shift it to after the election when Obama has nothing to lose and will sign such an Act without staring down the barrel of an internet based hate campaign at ground level in the run up to the almost inevitable 'four more years (of Goldman Sachs)' schtick.
