Star gazing live- like a different education

I don't know if anyone else is or has been watching star gazing live on BBC2. it's hosted by Brian Cox and Dara O'Brian. Tbh this stuff always bored the jocks off me but this guy Brian Cox is fantastic. It's like a new education and he's actually making this stuff interesting.

    Worth a look.
It's only a bit of craic

Funny fact about Brian Cox, he was the keyboards player in D:Ream. Them of "Things can only get better" fame.

He's a great presenter though, his awe and wonder is infectious. I'd recommend checking out his Radio 4 podcast "The infinite monkey cage" if you're into that sort of thing.

I'd say Dara is putting that on, the man studied theoretical physics in UCD, he's well able for it!

Cox is legendary, his Wonders of the Cosmos/Solar System series was truly jaw dropping.

His blog is here: Professor Brian Cox - Home

His missus is a bit nice, and very talented in her own right. :: gia’s blog ::

I'm glad you are enjoying it. It's just Brian Cox's face and presentation style I can't stand looking at. The Sky at Night is ten times better, it should be on weekly...

Sir Patrick Moore, Dr. Chris Lintott, Dr. Brian May(the odd time) and a whole host of professional and amateur astronomers are given airtime on it. I actually love The Sky At Night, I've been watching it since I was a juvenile Munnkey.

Did they spot any aliens or hear any strange sounds like others are around the world?
