I don't think it is meant to be taken literally. Probably refers to the manufacturers of all forms of dairy products.

    Interesting article here:

THE ASTRONOMER Jocelyn Bell-Burnell is one of Ireland’s most accomplished scientists. While still a research student she discovered pulsars and went on to become a distinguished scientist who made important astronomical discoveries....

She is also known for her championing of women in science and for her Quaker faith, which remains unmoved by the appliance of science. She has always been an advocate for the idea that science and faith can, as she put it, sit “lightly with each other” and it is part of the Quaker faith to believe that you can get closer to God by observing his creation. She is critical of the well-known atheistic scientist Richard Dawkins saying he has a “fundamentalist view” of the subject

Non-fundamentalists aren't really worth spending much time on except if you're a fan of the purely philosophical arguments.

If Quakers were the only kinds of Christians running around the place there would be a heck of a lot less tension about this sort of thing.
Don't blame me; I voted for Kodos.

True. I've had the pleasure of working for and with Quakers- it took four years before I even knew my colleague was Quaker. Magnificent people and just about the only religious denomination I have any time for. Mainly because they simply do what it says on their tin and are modest to a self-effacing degree. A lot of people in Ireland unknowingly owe their lives to Quakers.

    Funny much that.

I always wonder about the intelligence of 'creative design' every time I read a thread like this!

No narrative may be totalising in it's discourse, therefore ,it is capable of deconstruction ergo it is not in fact absolute-not the bible!
Never listen when they tell you that Man and the animals have a common interest, that the prosperity of the one is the prosperity of the others. It is all lies.

The Ancient Astronomer and long standing British Institution Sir Patrick Moore is now 88 and in ill health

    - but he still has a sense of humour and believes in the Afterlife:

I'm not scared of dying. I believe in some form of afterlife: I just hope my uncle George isn't there — silly, baldheaded old coot. But you've got to make the best of things and that's what I've always tried to do.”

anyone who goes near my kids with this ************************ will be getting a visit. v angry with the pedos and popes.

    evolution isn't a theory, it's a fact. end of.
