Hawking is looking for a theory of everything, he's still a very serious thinker, not a propagandist. He's still working on the physics, not theology or the atheist equivalent.

Is Stephen Hawking the guy who is a victim of spousal abuse (well documented mods)? Why on earth are you hanging on every word of this clown? He is a charletan who sells pop science.

There are very few who could understand his serious work which is why he tries to summarise it in simple terms, he's no charlatan

His unified field theory which boldly predicts a theory to everything flies in the face of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and Godels Theorem of recursion.

He trades on his disability. Except for it, he would be mocked openly by academics.

I dont see that that follows. Neither Heisenberg nor Godel discount a theory that would unify fields. Weak nuclear forces and electromagnitism were unified in the late 1960s. There's no reason to believe that other fields may not also be unified in a single theory.

He states baldly that we will be able to predict. We cannot predict. There is inherent uncertainty.

Only in complimentary measurements, such as velocity or momentum.

There is uncertainty in every aspect of maths and physics. We cannot even predict the movement of a raindrop on a window.
