I have never studied in depth alchemy, astrology or humorism, but I’m fairly certain that none of them are true. Ditto intelligent design. Am I wrong?
Don't blame me; I voted for Kodos.

Maybe if he HAD actually admitted any such thing, but he did not.

Pretty terrible OP, especially if it is relying on you tube videos of Ben Stein to back it up.

For example Dawkins admitted to no such thing, as the video in the OP claimed. What happened was Dawkins was asked to IMAGINE a scenario where humanity might be intelligently designed, then they edited it in such a way as to make it look like that’s what he thinks happened.

This is what happens if you learn your science from books and you tube videos instead of actual peer reviewed papers and journals.

I would suggest however is reading any peer reviewed papers on the subject, not news paper articles and books. Generally science books fall under one of two categories. 1) A writer who genuinely wants to make something established in science more understandable to the rest of us and 2) Someone who wants to have something established in science but it failed the peer review process and so he wrote a book instead.

The book in the OP is an example of the latter.

Say what you will about Dawkins, but I have never known for him to desire for people not to read any books.

Intelligent design has as much right to be heard as the Hindu version of creation, we have the right to decide whether we want to believe it or not.
No matter what you think of yourself, the moment you try to justify the murder of an innocent with idealism, no matter what that ideal might be, you take your place on the side of evil and all your claims to virtue are as naught.

Though this was an interesting video. Might be relevant to the discussion.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family Anatidae on our hands. "Douglas Adams"
