    A chance for Irish Universities!

Indian bill to allow foreign universities to operate
India's government has approved a plan to allow foreign universities to set up campuses and offer degrees in India.

The proposal, which needs to be ratified by parliament, is expected to benefit thousands of Indian students who head abroad to study.
This is good opportunity for Irish Univesities with backing from IDA and private firms Irish could get pie in newly market not only make good connection with growing economy in Asia.

    Any thoughts!

Seems a smart enough way of tapping into a market opportunity the only probelm might be the minimum universities in Irealdn and the possible dilution of degree stuides to satisfy the growning need of student looking for degrees in India.

You could pu it forward for this too.

As soon as this is done it becomes necessary to have a censorship to suppress adverse arguments, and it is thought wise to discourage thinking among the young for fear of encouraging dangerous thoughts." - Bertrand Russel

India is the only major growing economy which is an ex british colony and English speaking. Two things we should try to tap into. There's a billion of them so plenty of market potential over the next 50 years.

We should thank the Australian racists who probably made this possible

And there is a tradition of Irish education already in India due to the religious orders...

UL got a few million in the early 90s from Asahi to look at setting up a campus in their home prefecture.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.
