You seem to have a real hang up on these children - it seems you view them the same way that you view rich people.

Answer this - would you like the gap between the hightest marks and the lowest marks at school to be as low as the education system can make it i.e. near equality in results?
Nonsense. The brightest have no difficulty reaching their full potential. Again you haven't a bulls noton what you are taliking about and that is a little comforting because we can dismiss your views as those of an ignoramous. BTW, the gap between the highest and lowest marks do not indicate the IQ of children. Exam results indicate a capacity to absorb data, concentrate etc etc.

I despair of this country. People seem to miss the point that integration always happened. The only difference when i went to school was that the "slower" children were put beside the smarter children instead of having a special needs assistant. I have a child with special needs, hes academically far ahead of his class He has help with the social aspects of life and the benefit has been incredible with an sna. Education is about produced a well rounded person that is interested and knowledgable about the world around them and more importantly wants to know more. It is not about points or what degree you get. Tolerance and acceptance of people of all shapes and sizes is an integral part of a human society. Arrogance and elitism and encouraging your child to believe they are superior because they are academically brilliant can only lead us to ruin.

You don't think the brightest would do better if they got specialist teaching for their abilities? you think they'd do the same if they are in a standard class being taught at an average pace?

    Strange!

You are so funny - as your prior post was about me learning English in outer Mongolia and made no reference at all to the issues. Then somebody says something to you and you type the above. What's the difference?

Of course you find that strange-because you do not know what you talking about. And this is far from the point that you entered here with, which was that scarce resources should be denied to those with special needs and spent on the 'brightest'
Any chance that you would make a litte effort to get some information BEFORE you come to a conclusion.
