Thread: Students, researchers lose access to documents due to cutbacks

    They certainly didn't cut any major database which is good.

    I posted the list more to see if anybody here would have made use of any of the journals. I'm law, so I wouldn't know, my journals are unaffected at the minute.

    Well as long as it's only medical, pharmaceutical and engineering journals that were cut. We are still safe in the knowledge economy moving forward as long as we have Bottle-feeding for Midwives Monthly and the quarterly sub to Champagne Tent Transport in the West of Ireland for Dummies.

    The major databases have a high stat reading and were relatively unaffected. However the mathematics journals have a minority readership and so had to go. However for anyone who's interested they can still be had on inter-library loan which is a lot cheaper.
