What's your problem with it? Too long, or not long enough?
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

Is this a picket at a particular place or this does this apply to all the pickets they mount on the day? Is is at a specific time?

Now don't be worrying your pretty little Private Sector heads about ASTI's pickets.
We're on strike. We are not paid for the day
We know all about "the long haul".
Telling ASTI how to picket is like teaching your grandmother to suck eggs, to coin a cliche.. ....

Although judging by some posters on P.ie, some education around what unions are for, what a picket means, why unions were necessary in the first place, might not go amiss. If only for historical or archival interest. The story seems to have got lost during the "we're nearer to Boston than Berlin / the market is always self-regulating" years.

    Anyway. Apologies for the inconvenience

    From the horse's mouth:
    Picketing of Schools

    • All schools with ASTI members will be picketed.
    • ASTI Standing Committee members will arrange with branch officers for the distribution of pickets to schools. Click here for contact details for your local branch officers.
    • A picket of all second level schools will take place from 8.30am until 10am outside main school entrances. Schools are encouraged to continue picketing after this time, should staff wish to do so.
    • A maximum of 6 ASTI staff members of the school will picket at any one time for a period of 15 to 30 minutes (approx).
    • The school steward will arrange the picket teams of 6 on a rota basis.
