Alan Dukes comes out in support of Nama

So, the sense I'm getting from FG diehard and loyalists who would, in the past, have ripped one's heart out for saying anything remotely negative about Fitzgerald or Dukes, is that Fitzgerald doesn't really know what he's talking about and Dukes is a know-all.

I wonder what your opinion of Kenny will be when FG eventually cop on and dump him.

My opinion of FitzGerald or Dukes has not changed because I disagree with them about Nama but then, I never worshipped either of them - admiration is as far as I go. I want a solution that is not dependent on a new property bubble.

What they both said was that NAMA in theory is fine. They did not say the FF version of NAMA was fine and they both said there is no perfect solution - each one on offer has problems. Hardly earth shattering revelations. The irony of course that you'd never catch a FFer being so honest and debating a policy purely in terms of the policy as everything FF says has to be done through the prism of how it affects whichever vested interest who pays the bills for the party and it's reps needs to be kept on side.
