Nama appears to be structured so that it cannot make a profit. Public sector increments continue to be paid. No hint of downward benchmarking - even for vacant positions. Social welfare recipients get inflation beating increases. Road projects are guaranteeing a minimum fleecing or the toll company gets paid by the State. Incinerators wanted the same. The State pays more for land than any other purchaser -eg Thornton Hall. The rest is borrowed by the State to waste away on overruns in capital spending or vanity projects.
Leaving aside the legality and requirement of tax clearance certs (unless you are a former taoiseach) is it now morally justifiable to minimise, avoid, delay or evade taxes, charges or levies? .
