Carroll in last-ditch bid to save property empire

    As suggested

Maybe he will get a different judge. Peter Kelly must be fed up with the antics by now!

This guy leave the Bert in the shade. Chances are he will get away with his shennanagins thans to the wimpy Irish taxpayers.

A provisional liquidator was appointed to the Zoe Group two days ago.

However, this morning's reports say Carroll's lawyers intend to use a clause in the Companies Act allowing three days from the time a provisional liquidator is appointed to make a fresh bid for protection under a revised plan.

So is the strategy to go back to the high courts (again), lose, then on to the supreme court (again) and by that time hope NAMA has been passed through the dail?

Thats the plan I'd say. Only if the high courts lets him appeal though.

Any word on Carroll's court appearance today?

I wish you were right but how pray tell me are we going to refuse it?

Cos if you have that answer then maybe we can stop all the loans being hovered up by NAMA.

I agree we should but do not see how we will...

He will have to present detailed documentation as to valuations etc.
The one page note that was cobbled together last time out was unacceptable to the court.
That will make for interesting analysis.

If KPMG, acting as an independent accountant, enthusiastically promote his demented plans - I will be complaining them to the Chartered Accountants Regulatory body also

    Falling backward I'm afraid.

(Nothing personal but that is an incredibly irritating and vacuous phrase.

    Compare
That will make for interesting analysis going forward.
    with
That will make for interesting analysis.
I cannot see any difference in meaning, just two redundant words of (to quote Judge Kelly) "management speak" tacked on at the end of the first sentence..)

Good man yourself! There is no way that he can prove that his companies can be made solvent again. He is just chancing his arm.
