So it's not just the government that can't count properly

C&C, makers of Bulmers, announced last week that revenue for the four months to the end of June was up 3% on the same period last year, helped by a 3% rise in cider revenue. Cue lots of praise in the weekend media.

Today they admitted that somehow they had got the numbers wrong, and that earnings had actually fallen 5%, with a 6% fall in cider revenue.

Another example of Irish corporate incompetency? Or just a case of the company accountants enjoying one too many of their delicious new pear ciders?
