These are very worrying times for our economy. We should never have adopted the economic model we did.

Sinn Féin did warn about this and opposed Euro entry.

Gurdgiev telling it as it is.
Even stretch it out a year or two longer it is still appaling.
And then you have Biffo prevaricating about the an boar snip reccomendation and will the electorate wear it.
Well everyone will wake up soon enough.
Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

In other news, Bertie will be the wealthiest former European political leader by 2010.

Ya right. Ireland is going to fall bellow Portugal, Slovakia and Greece in the next 8 months. That is nonsense.

And if we weren't in the Euro we would have followed Iceland and be taken over by the IMF.

Iceland are online to return to growth next year. They will leave us standing. I think that it is more FF/PD mis-management and both parties downright corrupt nature more than the Euro, that caused our mess.

75% of Irish GDP is coming from FDI.
In Portugal FDI is only 25%

Good thing about this fall of GDP is to
1) Ireland can stop pay hundreds of millions to Africa
2) It will be a good reason to reduce PS payroll and Welfare bills

Lenihan said its was the EU cheap credit which caused the rediculous property boom and emmigration causing our mess.

Memory, memory.
