    SO we will be poorer than Poland and other EE countries?

    Nice!

    Will we still send child benefits and other benefits over there to prop up their figures?

    I wish they would make up their minds. Are we the richest or poorest country in Europe. I gots to know man.

    Not quite, most former eastern bloc countries aren't in the Eurozone and the stats provided seem to say that we might fall below the Eurozone average, we're still quite a way from the bottom.

    You also have to remember that it's not going to make a hell of a lot of difference to your average punter as much of the 'wealth' was just bubble nonsense anyway.

    However, if you work in construction, architecture, or related industries it might be a good time to consider a new career. Those sectors aren't coming back, there's simply no economic fundamentals there to support them
