The same 450 people have wealth amounting to €68 billion - thats over three times the expected budget deficit.

yet the neo-liberals on here want to slash and burn public sector jobs and wages in exactly the same way that employers have and continue to slash and burn private sector jobs. And to add insult to injury - the same right-wing hacks want to slash dole payments for the very same workers who have lost their jobs.

And for what - to bail out a tiny number of bankers, spivs and speculators who have more money than sense and couldn't spend it in a hundred lifetimes if they tried.

    Fantastic post - utterly fantastic.

High praise from one innumerate to another.

The man who thinks a 8% pay-cut equates to 15%, or a 12% pension contribution is really 30%, is hardly in a position to comment on any post that involves actual numbers.

I took a 14% pay decrease in take home pay in the last 12 months - I have the figures to back it up.

It can be argued that I pay circa 30% into my pension - I gave you the figures to back that up.

I am also foregoing a 6% pay rise under T2016.

I can't do anything about it if you don't believe me, you are prejudiced against public servants - I have no reason to lie.

Not from the pension, income & health levies, you didn't.

    Unless you earn 110k.

    Which you clearly don't.

Any position, no matter how idiotic, can be argued.

You pay a superannuation contribution and pension levy into your pension. End of.

Your PRSI pays for everyone's else benefits, regardless of whether you're claiming such benefits. Just like my PRSI does.

And the 12% discount was just an figment of the benchmarking body's imagination. You don't pay that money into your pension, because that money never existed.

Then why do you persist in claiming a 15% cut in take-home pay since 2008?

Its not my prejudice that makes this claim impossible, its the arithmetic.
