Has Cowen got the backbone to sort out the economy?

I don't think he has the balls to make any decisions, everything seems to be outsourced to somebody else to make a decision.

an bord snip was set up to find where cuts could be made, this document will be buried until after lisbon 2 in october instead of being acted on asap

the ministerial pension issue for sitting tds was rowed back on because of "legal advice" he should have just abolished these pensions and told the people affected to take it to court if you don't like it and see how it goes down with your constituents who are losing their jobs

similarly with the judges salaries he should have said take the pay cut if you don't like it see you in court. instead he hides behind the "legal advice" argument

instead of taking on the public sector unions and cutting the public service wagebill he's talking to the unions instead of telling them to do one

if he showed some balls and leadership the public would be 100% behind him but because he shows none the people have lost faith in him

He's irrelevant now, politically that is, economically he's very relevant as he's making things much more difficult for his successors. He must be brought down, him and his government.

Clowen is up there with ahern. ahern was haughey gimp, the same was as Clowen was aherns gimp. Clowen destroyed this country when he would not stand up to ahern.
