Hang on doh, I wasn't insulting ye. I actually said fair play. However, all these things have propaganda value. You mean to tell me the SP went to the trouble of getting a DVD done and get no propaganda value out of it? Pull the other one. Surely you don't believe that. Anyway, I'd buy it, no bother.

The DVD and pamphlet were issued for the the purpose of recording what was a outstanding victory not just for migrant workers but for all workers. The DVD will serve to show that by militant struggle workers can defeat the power of a multinational, the state, government and legal apparatus. It will also stand in opposition to those who argue that social partnership is the only path for workers and the trade union movement.

As regards propaganda, the only propaganda that the DVD and pamphlet try to engage in, is the education of the working class as to the true class nature of society. In fact people who have seen it have commented to me on how little effort the SP made to propagandise (in terms of party propaganda) in the DVD. Maybe you have been in SF too long and are a little too cynical about peoples motives. Remember the SP is not an election orientated party. The objectives of the SP, the establishment of a socialist society, can only come about as a result of the development of a class consciousness by the working class. That is what the video is attempting to help develop.

That's still propaganda though. It's propaganda I agree with but that's not the point. Propaganda isn't necessarily a bad thing.
