Incompatibility of Labour/Fine Gael economic policies in government?

Fianna Fail has stated that a Fine Gael/Labour coalition could not work because of their incompatible economic policies. Since their last coalition,Labour seems to have moved further to the left of centre and,as an active supporter of public sector unions,it would find it impossible to approve the government spending cuts in the public sector pay bill necessary for financial stability. So would a Fine Gael/Labour coalition square that circle?

No. The only rational vote for a democrat in the 2012 election is to vote for the logical centre of Irish politics; Fianna Fáil. The extreme xenophobes in Fine Gael, whose deportation of foreigners ideas such as those called for by Leo Varadkar, and the extremist anti-freedom pro-control policies of the Labour party are totally contradictory and would be a disaster for Ireland.
Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.

And FF are doing a great job of it so far aren't they. Now let me look up that ESRI report that says we are going through the worst economic reverse of any developed country since the depression.

I agree with some of the wording in your post anyway.

So long as there's CFL bulbs in Leinster House and organic turnips in the Dail restaurant the Greens will do whatever they're told.

Defective Romanticist lost his marbles a few years ago now...best to ignore him. It should be noted that every party he defects to has a habit of imploding at election time. Now i'm not superstitious, but can i only hope he doesn't join FG
