    They are agressively managing the spending side. I'd imagine that they are going to become a lot more aggressive come June 6th onwards.

    holy crap, I feel sick reading that

    tax take is 13.5 bn for the first five months of the year. loo-lah Lenny and his merry band of slow learners in the DoF better revise their forecasts downward again, 30bn now seems highly optimistic

    Not necessarily. October/November are the two big tax months with the bulk of Corporation and Capital Taxes in those months. Although they could be extroadinarily weak this year.

    that's an easy prediction to make KN! CT and CGT\CAT take will be teeny-weeny this year - who's making any profits?

    the trajectory continues down and I stick by my prediction of <30bn (despite these damned levies )

    Most of the tax take comes around in Nov/Dec. So it's too early to make a comment.
