The Government Nationalised the Developer's debts

This is essentially what Fianna Fail did when they nationalised Anglo Irish Bank.

I have yet to be convinced that any FF developer will suffer one bit from recent goings on and all their problems were merely transferred (by slight of hand) by Lenihan and Cowen to the taxpayer.

No doubt they will celebrate their success at this year's Galway races and not have the inconvience of the backslapping at the tent.

This was a hit and run on the Irish taxpayer facilitated by Fianna Fail, the developer's friend.

When the banks and developers were swimming in profits, no-one would dare raise the prospect of nationalising them, you would be called Stalinist if you did. Now with the profits removed, the taxpayer is called to take over the debt by Fianna Fail, the bankers, shareholders and developers and even Green Party members on this site and elsewhere, who have become more FF than FF themselves.

A great country isn't it, especially if you are a FFer.

Can you please re-write that post but use reason, details and sources the next time? (otherwise it is just a digout style rant)
If the banks are out for a bail,
and Lenny's efforts end up as a fail,
    when the Somer does come,
    to the Country they'll run,
And leave a Fine mess for the Gael.

Endinf the one Party (FF) state:

Maybe next time, but this time, I am writing the truth as I see it.

Anglo Irish was a classic case of privatising profit and nationalising losses and debt, in this case mainly FF friend's losses and debts and demonstrates what people can do when they have the right friends in office.

That's what makes the whole nationalisation of Anglo such a crooked deal. When the good times were rolling the bankers and developers pocketed the profits. But when the bad times arrived, they wanted us to pick up the tab for their losses, while they headed for the golf course.

I just know that FF and the bankers are laughing at the Irish taxpayer right now. They probably hoped nationalisation could have been done years before an election, but it's fortunate the people can vote on June 5th on what they think of FF helping their friends.

Why does this topic need another new thread?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.
