The number of people going on to the LR has been decreasing every month since Jan 09, which is when all the construction workers appeared on it, having been let go after Xmas.

    Dec 08 = 291k
    Jan 09 = 328k (+37k)
    Feb 09 = 354k (+26k)
    Mar 09 = 371k (+17k)
    Apr 09 = 384k (+13k)

I can't see that trend continuing. Yes it has been decreasing, but Januarys figures were always going to be high and Februarys figures were still exceptionally high. Both March and April were substantially smalller, but all it needs now is a push of 16,000. In any case, we are very close to 400,000.

Even if we had a rise of 10,000 thereafter we would be up 460,000 by the end 0f 2009. Summer figures will most likely be high.

    Yeah to show this:
DETE - Actual Redundancy Statistics 2009

January which was by far the highest monthly rise in the Live register had the second lowest rise in redundancies, in 2009 so far.
