Me thinks they already have someone lined up. Maybe some retired politicians returned to private practice?

Perhaps McDowell is doing to give the legal advice while Bertie does the accounts.

Does that comply with all necessary EU tendering regulations?

This could well be a very lucrative contract to some legal firm.

I expect the contents of brown envelopes are already being emptied into FF bank accounts.

Bribes there will be a plenty, and the victor will of course be the most qualified in FF's eyes, those who 'donated' the most money to the party.

Indeed, it would be worth knowing if any legal firms in and around Dublin are large donators to FF. If so, then I expect them to get the tender.

It will almost certainly be Arthur Cox. Of the big 5 commercial law firms they are the one associated with FF since the year dot. McCann FitzGerald are associated with FG and the other 3 were until the 1980s run and staffed (very well I might add) predominantly by Protestants and never got any government work.

Guys - get real. Having been involved in another NAMA tender this week, you can take it that these will be the most scrutinised ever. In this case, dont think AC are in the running from the word on the street.
