Stunned at that. Taking a child out from class in front of her peers? There has to be a story behind this.
And the government have a cheek paying the salaries of the teachers in these private fee paying schools.
Absolute disgraceful treatment of a student - and her parents should have known better.

This story is all about about elitism and wealth. The girl got kicked out of school because her parents were (no longer) wealthy enough to afford the fees. If this was a truly private school, I would regard it as a matter for the school community, including the parents. But this is a publically-funded school which is allowed to operate special rules, above all by excluding those who can't afford the fees.
How many scholarship girls does this school support, I wonder?
