So you'd had over the running of our country to Brussels. At least you are being honest unlike the other eurofanatics on p.ie who insist the EU is bastion of democracy where we are listened to respectfully and our views taken into account and decisions are made for all.

As opposed to post Lisbon (IF it passes) when we will be even less independent.

Basically there are two games available in Europe, be part of the UK sphere of influence or be part of the EU sphere of influence. There is no mystical independent third way where we are free from all outside influences.
Seeing as 36 years of the EU's influence on us has been a bit more positive than 800 odd years of the UK's, I think I'll stick with the EU!
