According to the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce there are 235 German firms in Ireland:

Germany is Ireland’s leading continental European partner and with more than 235* Germany-based companies in Ireland employing approx 15,000 people**, the importance for Irish secondary school students to develop German language skills has never been more apparent.
    Source: Siemen's press release.

That's just Germany. 15,000 people is hardly peanuts.

How many non-EU companies are located in Ireland because of access to EU markets?

Edit: obviously more now per ibis' figures.

Best I could be arsed doing off the top of my head. You asked for some. I gave four. If possible, could you stop being such a silly tool?

And what is a large part of why those US operations are here?

That'll be the UK (as in part of Europe) owned multi-national Tesco?
