Farm Dole payments put up on Net today

Not sure how you get it, but I see that the full list of farm dole payments have gone up on the net. Larry Goodman is still the country's top dole man with 506,000 euro and a couple in Cork are getting 350,000. Not bad dole cheques in bad times......

No Doubt this will be a reason to vote "yes" to lisbon. And also, no doubt, a reason to vote "no" to Lisbon.

Probably from a huge amount of hits. All the farmers are very interested to know what their neighbours are getting.

Seems the Irish farmers got two billion in dole payments last year. I wonder how long the German taxpayer with keep paying for this madness, or even be in a position to pay for it....

Is it just me, or have the farming lobby been somewhat quiet of late, considering the state the country is in?

In another time they were parading and protesting, and putting sheep in the doorway of Dept. Agriculture.

Methinks the silence is a bit deafening at this time for some reason

Not for long as most EU funding is based on the declining VAT base of member states as well as collapsing import duties. Ireland's payments to the EU are already somewhat below the same time last year.
