were are the job creation programs?
dont talk about FAS, whats the point in doing a course to get no job when your finished?
Its a doom situation, there is just no prospects of work out there for so many people.
These "reports" are a softening up process for something that has already been decided on.

He's absolutely correct, its unsustainable to have 66% of current government revenue go on welfare, its also unsustainable to have rates three times that of the UK.

Everyone knows of dole scammers who refused to work during the years of full employment, they should have been audited then and brought to book.

The rises in October assumed 3% increase in inflation, yet there has been a 4% deflation, therefore a 7% cut could be implemented immediately without affecting living standards.

It's totally unfair those who have lost their jobs, and have paid their PRSI, receive the same amount as those who have never contributed anything to their country.

We are in changed economic times and cannot afford to carry people who dont deserve welfare.

And how much money do you think it will cost to put down a Revolution?

So your saying the government will be cutting the dole, by how much you think?
50%? to be similar to the UK..

why is it, that the price of goods on this side of the border are not the same on the other.
what can the government do to equal this, now that they intend to cut the dole.?

As long as the landowning elite still have their wealth intact, Fianna Fáil couldnt care less whether the little people sink or swim.

Why should their be a revolution to catch welfare cheats? It's theft, in fact there should be a revolution to get rid of those who support such scum.

You mean like the landowners who get dole of up to 500,000 euro a year? Seems to me that if the scum who misrule this country keep pushing, they will eventually get their answer.

Yet another load of rubbish, Ireland has one of the highest home ownership rates in the world.

FF lead governments increased the dole by huge amounts when the monies were there to do so. I have always believed this was a mistake as the rates should have stayed around the same as our nearest neighbour.

Anyone finding it hard on €204 a week should consider how lucky they are when those in the same situtation but living north of the border get £60 a week, £50 in under 25

We'll see if you feel the same way when you are on the dole yourself.
