    i myself have been thinking the doom here has been a little overdone of late

    things are bad but not insurmountable

    Yes, it was nice to get a little bit of hope. The sense of doom is becoming oppressive.

    Heh .... that English guy says towards the end of the clip words to the effect that some of the immigrants from places like Poland will have to get sent home

    I mean ... hellooo ... Poland is an EU Country dude .... freedom of travel etc etc

    Its quite obvious that Ireland is a wealthy country - the big problem is that that wealth is consentrated in the hands of about 5% of the population, and thats exactly the 5% that Fianna Fail will never make help to pay for the crisis. No, its the 95% who have very little that will have to pay. FF will certainly let the state go bankrupt before it touches on this 5% for a dig-out (except for their own expenses).
