From what I understand, it seems to say they have changed their stat method and that the raw data required is not available for Ireland, so they estimated it.

Its not about paranoia, you cant hide numbers from the markets and then expect to be able to sell bonds

If the data was not available they should have just used :

Perhaps someone was trying to buy a few days so they could shift some bonds?

Release date was 16th April / Bonds were sold this week.......

as Steve Staunton might say..... 'you tell me'

They're selling bonds every month. So, I really doubt they are trying to hide anything. But using the word "confidential" was bound to raise suspicions (at least among the paranoid )

You have no idea of the shjte that gets talked at cabinet.
You would get more sense out of a bunch of hairdressers at an Ann Summers party giggling at plastic willies. They spend all their time talking about anything except the problem.

So we have a cabinet meeting today to re-arrange the scullery maids on the SS Titanic.

As a previous post pointed out,the Gardai and the army could be on the streets when the government can't raise money in the bond market later this year. Let's hope the government has a contingency plan swiftly to appoint a government of national unity,GONU, with Fine Gael. It should exclude Labour and minority parties which would undermine attempts to slash government spending.

Fianna Fail or the PD should not be in any new Govt. It would be morally reprehensible to have them in office, after the damage and corruption that their parties have inflicted on our country.
