Newsflash dawhling, it's not the ministers fault that you spent over 7.5 times your gross earnings on a house aged 24. Suck it up.

Anybody who believed the hype about FF's property bubble deserves what they get.

I heard a teacher on the radio say they spent three years at college and deserve a decent wage for this. Where does this frame of mind come from? I know many who spent three years earning buttons on building sites working five days a week, twelve months a year, and are now jobless. I know where I would rather have spent my time.

Ah, a bit of compassion! Like many people, this woman was sold (and bought) the myth that property was an asset value that just couldn't go down, and that the good times will last forever. Her lack of economic sophistication doesn't make her undeserving of any sympathy.

I can imagine what my boss would say to me if I bawled him out in public for not bailing me out of my gambling debts. P45 time.

The problem now is that the bailout culture has been extablished. It is extremely corrosive.

This is a fair point, the banks + developers got bailed out on their fluck ups.
