It was taken from the Irish Examiner, where it was written by Noel Baker: ?No job, no money, no social welfare, no food? | Irish Examiner

FWIW, I think it would be interesting if reporters like Mr Baker also asked those resenting the feeding of foreigners if they, personally, have ever donated money or volunteered time towards welfare organisations like St Vincent de Paul. In my limited experience, those who enjoy having a pop at foreigners - under the excuse of looking after our own - have usually never lifted a finger for that cause.

People on Disability Benefit do not receive this payment. Go back an do your homework Baker and stop faking - I suggest you take up baking. As more people joined the queue waiting for their food parcels, the man’s early start began to make sense. Having worked since he was 14, at the age of 59 he now receives disability benefit because of his prosthetic leg, which he tapped occasionally as he spoke. He was here, he said, out of "complete necessity", while the man next to him, older at 75 years and with silver hair, said of others in the queue: "Some of them are dressed like millionaires."
There was also opprobrium for the Government and Taoiseach Brian Cowen, with the first man declaring: "Look at what he has done, in his designer suits, he took the Christmas bonus, which in my case is €200. It is the rich staying rich and the poor getting poorer. It is the worst cut ever."
I watched with glee, while your kings and queens, fought for ten decades for the gods they made.
The massive hypocrisy here is that the Capuchin facility is only part funded by the exchequer while €800 million of taxpayers money is shipped out of the country to questionable overseas aid.
Are the Irish aid agencies outraged by this? Haven't heard, they appear to be remaining atypically quiet.
And Fianna Fail hang your heads in shame, you and your coalitionists are a disgust to Ireland.
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.
The queue snaked through the city centre: hundreds of desperate people waiting patiently for a food parcel filled with basics such as bread, beans and sugar.
It was a scene that would not have been out of place in the Hungry Thirties or Eastern Europe under the austerity of communism. But it took place last week in Dublin - a city that was until recently at the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic economies.
A record crowd turned out in the city centre on Wednesday for free weekly food parcels, less than 24 hours after an emergency budget had introduced drastic cuts to the economy. The queue stretched from the doors of the Capuchin Centre, headquarters of a Franciscan Order dedicated to the poor, all the way down Bow Street in Dublin's Smithfield area.
Around 850 free food parcels comprising bread, butter, tea, sugar, milk, cheese, pasta, frozen food, tins of beans and a packet of biscuits were snapped up.

Sad situation these people now find themselves in. Wonder if their governments, or perhaps that generous body the EU, will fund their airfare home?
The provision of this charity is just prolonging the inevitable departure or widespread criminal activities. No job, no money, no legal entitlement beyond permission to reside. The natural reaction of the left will be "aw sure we will feed them, its our duty". No it cannot be, there will be plenty enough of our own kind that need this charity.
