What have 1,000 people in Financial regulator been doing?
Shane Ross says the work a 32 hour week-is this common in the Public Sector?
Does anyone know their pay scales and pension arrangements?

Watching FG and Labour I am convinced that there is no credible alternative to the FF rats who have destroyed this country. Bring on a Brussels Secretariat to run us for a few years. It is very sad really.

    financial regulator

i attended a meeting two weeks ago hosted by a financial institution and we were talking in the lobby later on ,
and what i heard made me shudder.

one of the senior guys told me that the got a phone call from the regulator.

and they were duly told we will be down in 2 weeks.

now if giving a financial institution notice!!! after what they put us through wasn't bad enough..

they then told him the 15 accounts they were going to check!!!!!!!!!

(i.e i read into that...make sure everythings ok before we arrive down)

    is this reform??????

the guy that told me could barely keep a straight face,he was shocked at this mickey mouse and mediocre approach himself

if this is the approach of our financial regulator,we would do better without them, what are they going to unearth in this manner?

i would have thought that their visit would be akin to an fbi file raid to catch them on the hop...how niave was I.

this is absolutely sickening ,disgusting and appalling.

i cant wait for ff door knockers

What, you all thought the property boom could have happened without a financial regulator intentionally asleep at the wheel?

    Regulator

Firstly can I just point out that its Eugene McErlean - not McErlane.
Further, I think its become quite apparant that the Regulator is essentially corrupt. They failed to protect the Irish people - what they were set up to do and yet they still act in an unacceptably arrogant manner. Thank goodness they're being sacked.
