Did you know about the tax amnesty last month for property developers?

While public services are being slashed and burned for lack of revenue, taxes hiked, salaries cut, pensions destroyed - WHAT does this government do? It arranges for yet another sly, give away to ****ing property developers!!!!

Seriously!!!! Read how they were exempted from the need to pay stamp duty on deals going back as much as ten years

Guys! Am I the only one to feel outraged about this? I thought I had run out of outrage. But along comes this story and refills the well. I'm giving my own thread 5 stars to see if I can wake you all up to this.

Oh I’m livid... It’s just that people are busy elsewhere advocating the PS be slashed and services cut whilst this scam passes off unnoticed and quietly behind the scenes.

Yet more gombeenery by Fianna FAIL to their developer friends. When will the people ever learn that FF have always put themselves and their friends first?

It's a banana republic. What does anyone expect? FF look after the constriuction industry. Harney serves private interests in the health "industry". The Greens dream up the wheeze of s "Sustainable Energy" certificate if you want to sell a house. The people to issue these certificates are not yet in situ. What's the betting that those selected to fill these makey-uppey jobs will be otherwise unemployable Green Party types.
Nothing works properly. It's just the way it is.

And it brought in €7.5 in payments and €7.9 in interest from developers could be going bust. €15m is worth gathering in.

There should be a Social Welfare Amnesty for that reason too.

Nothing that the FF/Greens do to help their buddies surprises me.

Can't we just turn this story into one big joke?

Like slap your knee! Order a pint! and giggle about what we've managed to get away with!

You must be joking - a 25 quid fine when there should have been thousands paid on stamp duty on a single deal - we lost loads of money on that.
