    Well, it's clear to you.

But what burden of proof are you using? On the balance of probabilities? Beyond a reasonable doubt? Assuming the best of the personality you favour and the worst of his opponent?

    Whataboutery.

And like I said earlier, the defence of "others have done it" isn't really the best, is it?

We'll all make up our own minds on why Senator O'Toole used Aileen O'Toole's name as a keyword. The charitable interpretation is that he wished to attract attention from people with similar interests, without realising that it could distract attention fron the site those people were searching for, and cause people to mix the two sites up.

If Senator Kelly really felt he's done nothing wrong, why has he changed his use of keywords?

Again, asserting that something is "sure" or "clear" doesn't make it so, except in your own head.

And it generally isn't a good idea to try and prove a smear by running with one of your own.

Competition is generally good, including in how products and services are differentiated and promoted. But I don't think Ireland needs more ingenuity of the kind that runs a high risk of deceiving its audience, and is then defended on grounds that it's not illegal. We've had enough of that already.

FYI , , , , Quote from another threat.... related to this.

In Light of a recent thread started by this sites principle and indeed displayed on the front page of this site entitled

    ''
Labour Senator (and South Candidate) hijacking "Ideas Campaign" keywords
    ''

I decided to find out what key words David Cochrane used to promote his site........

To MY AMAZEMENT ! ....... Even though Mr Cochrane appears in the above thread to show disdain for such behavior........ He himself engages in this

''...deliberately attempting to hijack traffic and media work done by...'' a competitor.

At this stage it is not clear what Phoenix Magazine owners would make of this ..... Their nose may be a little out of joint but Im sure they would not start throwing words like '' Hijacking'' around,

It is my view that there is nothing wrong with this practice & the site owner is obviously looking to ensure he is ''targeting'' the correct potential users. however I believe that in light of this he should explain his position and explain why he put 'said thread' on the front page of this site.

It would be great to get a detailed response from the site owner who, unlike Aileen O'Toole makes money from this site.
