It should not stop you from contributing though, should it?
What absolute twaddle. There is absolutely no reason for them to include any mention of selling in disclaimer, unless that's what they plan. If they've no intention of using this for financial reasons, why not use something from Creative Commons?

Why dont YOU propose something like that to them instead of bemoaning your interpretation of their underlying motivation?

Give it a go, see what happens. Who knows, you might evfen come up with a few suggestions of your own.

Perhaps a machine like this might help.

    []Site Map - oi solutions

There are six simple steps to setting up your innovation initiative. It is critical to follow them in the correct order.

    1) Design your initiative
    2) Establish a budget
    3) Promote the initiative
    4) Idea Management tool (ideally, Aileen)
    5) Flow of evaluated ideas
    6) Implement ideas and reap profits

Yes,I should spend my own time thinking up good ideas, while I will then give to a PR company for free who, while wrapping themselves in thin patriotic rags, can then sell them without having to compensate or even acknowledge me.

Just like the government/status quo. Anyone with a suggestion is told to f*** off and shut up as they don't know what they are talking about or are not qualified to have an opinion.

The world needs ideas at the moment and lots of them. It's only with ideas that we find solutions.

This concept of keeping good ideas to ourselves is nonsense. That's how we partly got into this fine mess in the first palce - excessive capitalism. There is no crime in sharing.

Ah but you see Kvof, there are so many people on p.ie with fantastic ideas that they are going to develop themselves, promote and make millions from, just for themselves. Sure why would they share them with anyone else. Their ideas are so good, they are going to tell no one because anyone they do tell will only run off, quick as a flash, and make money out of those ideas and rub their faces in the profits they are making every single day.

Lots of profitable and fantastic ideas on p.ie you know.

So in order to get out of the mess of excessive capitalism, we should give our ideas free to a PR company that wants to sell them.

My head is spinning. But then, we didn't get into the mess we're in without a sizeable proportion of the population being gullible dip********************s.

I pitched in an idea. What surprised me about it was the screen that came up after the idea was briefly described - it was all about media coverage - would you be willing to do media work on this? what's your number for media work? why do you think this idea would get a lot of media? etc.

It made it seem like they were more interested in the sizzle than the substance. Which if true, would be a pity
