The Government Will Borrow 1.6bn to Put Into the PENSION RESERVE FUND! this year.

Shane Ross Is quizzing martin Manseragh about this at the moment in the Seanod. . . he hasn't got a clue & is taking notes from 3 advisors behind him for every question he receives. . . nice guy ... but utterly incompetent!

The Government will borrow 1.6 Bn! Pay massive interest on this figure . . . and then squander it on our banks. . . .

The government could save it's self 1.6bn ! by suspending it easily!

    CRAZY !

    this is nuts.

i thought the whole deal with the banks was to put the money we had already from revenue into them that was earmarked for the fund. so in effect there wouldnt BE any going in this year

considering how the market is preforming and the return ,thats not that bad a deal.

    but BORROWING to do it?

That is not a necessary qualification for ruining our country.

We need another war to get rid of the gombeens in FF that are ruining it now.

P.S. Did we ever really get rid of the Brits? I think not.

We got rid of the brits and replaced them with FF, then the world started telling Irish jokes, but they aint jokes, they are true. The Paddies are a very dumb servile race.

Well, we're borrowing at 4% and putting into the banks for an 8-10% return, so it makes sense while it lasts.

But whats the point of channelling borrowed money throught the npf?

Why do you think the Banks will be able to pay it back?
