There was no complaints from the private sector for the last few years when they were drawing down large weekly wages, in fact some of my colleagues were laughing at my wage.from here on i will mind pay-packet much more when I go into town, less spending.

Sweet jaysus, I´m worried. Not for myself particularly but for the state we have arrived at. Neighbours, friends and family.
I´m watching the other thread on the live register and I was reading Cowens latest revised unemployment figures of 450,000 which is clearly best case scenario.
I don´t know if I could be restrained on meeting a man who was in charge of the finances of this country for the last number of years and has the nerve to claim it is all due to external factors.
It´s also depressing to see threads here and there painting the PS as the baddies here. Even the title of this one is unfair, simplistic and misleading. People getting bogged down in *************************y begrudgery is distracting from the real problems.

Well the pension levy hurts me badly as my wife is PS too.
At least a reduction in the pension tax relief would be based on income and apply to all. Its much easier to sell something fair even if its tough. If the gov screw this one up and single out one group again they are finished.
I might take a bigger hit next month but be more willing to accept it. If we are cutting large numbers of PS jobs I think we can start with banks, 6 per high street seems a but much when we own all of them.

    ???

If this is the case, why have the unions not screamed from the rooftops about it. Its funny when they can scream about the levy as being unfair and hitting the lowest paid, and CO grades hardest, but nothing has been done about the above.

To be honest, it seems gorssly unfair, that if they are working for an emplyer that they should not be entitled to a proportation of the pension in relation to years served. I find it hard to beleive this is not the case, and even harder to beleive the PS unions who are currently spouting about unfair levy etc, have not tackled something as unfair and unjust as this ?

Maybe I misunderstand it, but if perhaps they had tackled this bit of inequality before, it wold have made the levy that bit more just now ?

No one is seeing the PS as baddies, however these marches are disgraceful, the majority of the people doing the talking will never loose their jobs. The nations current conversation is so wealth biased that many sectors are just not being heard. I am sick of those unions reps spin doctors. I mean constantly droning on about pensions when the country is in chaos!!! As said again again, most of us could possibly not afford a pension, PS are stiking about tax on their contribution, however this will not interfere with their penion at the end of the day. GOD would PS, GRA, etc etc stop the nonsense,

PS will and have a job, do have an income, gov do contribute to their pension which is not subject to a levy and it is index linked, they will get a state pension and PS pension. Most of the private sector do not have a pension as they could not afford it out of a net income!!!!
