Lawyers, accountants, and bankers swamping McDonalds with CVs.

According to the Examiner, a new McDonalds in Clare has been flooded with CVs from former professionals such as bankers, lawyers, and accountants. The adverts for the jobs have been withdrawn, so many have they received. The fellow hiring for McDonalds said that he had to do a 'double-take' when he saw some of the 500 plus applications.

No lawyers mentioned in that article?
    Wishful thinking, perhaps?

No offence meant to anyone, but if you need a job in mcs would you advertise in your CV that you are a professional? Over qualification comes to mind, which can be problematic for some jobs.

Ah, mea culpa, confused architects with lawyers. But I know a lawyer now working in a hotel after being laid off, so it's not entirely stretching the truth...

Hang on, what positions are these people applying for?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Easter, they say. But, either way, the fellow hiring said he had trouble trying to get staff for such positions before, had to go looking for them, so still indicative of what has happened....

Change of scene with the same net result perhaps.... going from dealing with difficult clients/customers over the desk/counter to dealing with drunks at 1am looking for their entitlement to a Big Mac
