ICTU's delusional demand: implement its 10 point plan for the economy

ICTU recently threatened a wave of strikes to force the government to cede to the above demand. Years of government flattery of ICTU in social partnership has made union leaders a bit delusional, leading them to think they are the true genuine representatives of the people. This would be funny if it wasn't so serious and likely to lead to unnecessary and futile industrial action in the public sector.

Who the Phuck voted for these clowns?

Perhaps a wave of strikes might be a good thing. Let IBEC then issue P45s en masse and let's have the class war and have it over with. I gove them a week before the run out of beard combs and come crawling back.

They've a war chest that's been building up for the last 10 to 15 years. Unions need to justify their existence by striking every now and then.

If they don't strike now, when would they strike?!

Plenty of dosh to fund the mutha of all strikes (assuming it hasn't been cleverly siphoned off already).
