    SR Technics announce closure of Dublin operations - 1,135 jobs to go

    SR Technics is to cease operations in Dublin with the proposed redundancy of 1,135 staff.
    According to a notice sent to union officials, formal notice of termination will be sent to employees from 14 March.


    It keeps getting worse.

    Dublin North is going to be very hard hit by this. Swords in particular, not much choice for these guys but to leave the country I recon.

    Looks as if SR Technics informed Dublin City Cllrs (and I assume TDs) by email at 0049hours this morning before they let their own staff in on the secret.

    the upshot of all this is that the Metro North, as brilliantly proposed by our leaders, will no longer be needed.
