Why not just print some cash?

Ok, I have an idea, dishonest, but who cares, we need the cash!

The Bank of Ireland as I understand it still prints Irish money in the form of Irish Euros.

So why dont we just keep the printers running day and night?

Flood the market with Millions/Billions of Euros, pay all our debts, look after the banks, and dont say a thing. Buy up foreign bonds for security.

Whats the worst that could happen? Our Euros would just dissapear into the European Euro market, nobody would be the wiser if a few extra billion Euros from Ireland were being flushed about?

And by the time Europe found if they ever did, providing we did it on the QT out we would be flush with money and the European Bank would have to sort the problem out!

All Euro notes can be traced back to the treasury where they were printed. It's called a serial number.

It's so mad it just might work! Just like the in "the hitchhikers guide" when an early civilisation adopted leaves as currency...

So many things wrong with that...

Germany 1920s and we'd be booted from the euro so fast it would make your head spin.

Isn't that what the US is doing now?
"There isn’t a country of the 17 euro countries at present who could carry this in a referendum, there isn’t a single country bar Ireland." - Minister for Finance, on Bloomberg tv.

What happens if ESM money poured into eurozone banks evaporates?

Well we could easily print fake serials!

eitherway who would know? If the government kept quiet and did it proffesionally it could be pulled off.

And as I say, we could buy up foreign bonds, so when the cat was out, the Euro could fall we move to the pound and cash in our bonds.

And when Europe comes knocking deny everthing and blame it on those pesky 3rd world country scammers!

Or tell them Brian Cowen opened up an Email in relation to a Poor Indian man who had a sick child and needed some cash for an operation and ...........

    Nice one.

If you get one person to take a five trillion euro note, let me know
