    Document forecasts jobless rate of over 10% next year

    UNEMPLOYMENT could reach more than 10 per cent with over 120,000 people losing their jobs this year and in 2010, the Government has warned.

    Another example of this government not facing up to reality.
    Unemployment will likely rise well above 10% by end 2010. It could be 10% by the 3rd quarter of this year.

    The Government must be basing this assumption on the propect of mass emigration this year.

    How the hell do they do these forecasts.
    This is worst than the fiasco of the budget forecasts.
    How can this government so out of sync with the amount of people losing their jobs on a daily basis.
    They have the social welfare figures.
    I presume this will not be questioned by anyone.

    unemployment will be at 10% by Easter

    just goes to show you what deluded planet our 'leaders' are dwelling on, not to mention the quality of the advice they are getting from the DoF
