On the First Active website, there's a list of what it means for individual branches
http://www.firstactive.ie/downloads/...ion_Stores.pdf
Although, there are some issues in that list. It says the Grand Parade branch in Cork will transfer to Ulster Bank Winthrop St. However, there's no Ulster Bank on Winthrop St. But there is a First Active, so presumably that's getting rebranded as an Ulster Bank even though it doesn't say that.
Presumably it's only a matter of time before Bank of Ireland rationalises its relationship with ICS. Although, there aren't the same savings to be made on the branch network there.

A sorry day for the workers long their jobs, but Its only a matter of time before the other banks slash staff.
Its fairly plain that lending is down considerably. So less profits.
On top of that how many staff in the banks worked on lending be it mortgages , car loans etc.
There must be an awful lot of lending advisors in branches doing little or nothing.
When the cuts come they will be accross the board, literally nobody is safe.
Tough times ahead.
Up until the New Year the Banks appeared to have had their heads in the sand, still giving out signs
to everyone (both inside and out) that all was OK.
Already a number of the banks have closed down foreign offices.
Talk too of major job losses coming down the line in the IFSC.
Its a horrendous situation for many workers to face.
Seanie Fitzpatrick is now getting the blame for everything too, hes become the get out clause for the banks.
"We'd have been ok except for him and now everyone thinks all the executives of all the banks were at the same carry on."
is the story being pedaled.
Hiya,
These are 750 VOLUNTARY REDUNDANCIES - Island wide. Just stating this for the record. In the end of the day whether these will convert to involuntary redundancies remains to be seen.
Other stats:
http://business.timesonline.co.uk/to...cle5589641.ece
"Ulster Bank employs 7,000 in Ireland, North and South."
"The job losses will be sought through voluntary redundancy and will be completed by the end of the year."
