Those who disagree with current economic policy can protest in many ways
one which has been suggested is to post out elected representatives bananas.

Throwing bananas at people... tut. tut.

I hope the bitter gimps over on thepropertypin.com get done for assaulting a TD (and get a good once-over in the back of the paddy wagon on the way to Pearse Street).

How about we spend our money on bullet-proof 7-series BMWs and screens that they can hide behind then? And make politicians totally off-limits and out-of-sight like in Britain/the US? I'm sure FF would fit right in to the gangster role and would love nothing more.

    What's an 'elected representative banana'?

And who should we be posting them to?
A demagogue is someone who will preach doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.

Banana Republic - hate the term. If you want to protest about the state of the economy you could remove the current government at the next election. The point of sending bananas, even banana pins to public representatives is utterly pointless.
Those who think they know it all upset those of us that do.........

Every time i hear someone use this racist term i fear that geldof will re-release that dire track.
I do hope the freaks on property pin do actually throw some at FF tds to give them a taste of justice pearse st style- mind you some of the tds would use the evidence as a stomach lining.

Perhaps a more sensible approach would be to write to your local green party TD if you happen to have one. Explain that you won't be voting for them unless they have the balls to put a stop to this train wreck of an administration!
Sending bananas etc is pointless. You'll just stink up the post office and annoy some civil servant or constituency worker! Use the fact that this us a very open democracy to push for an early election!
