The New York Times has an interesting article about the increased productivity associated with having 2 computer screens - up to 40% gain !

Bill Gates famously used 3 monitors and he almost took over the world as a result !


The price works out at about $500 dollar for person for the upgrade to 2 screens.

Companies are cash strapped at the moment, and there's an element of collective action to the problem.

So I propose the State allow these upgrades to be written off against payroll tax (i.e. that the firm holds onto say €500 per employee[SIZE=1]*[/SIZE])

This would give Ireland a massive boost !
