Is today an Irish Stock Exchange CRASH?

    Hi Guys,

What defines a stock market crash? Is it a full index drop of over 10% in one day ( as I have heard )? Is a stock market crash a full 11% fall in one go OR that in the case of the ISEQ that in one day it drops through 11% to in this case 13%:

Few distressed looking dudes around a certain pub in Baggot Street. If that's any indication!

It's only defined as a CRASH when the powers that be want you scared. Otherwise it's called a CORRECTION.

    Yes

I noticed that no one on radio /tv chatshows /news mentioned the word crash. Someone else who is up on these things just rang me - said a crash was 10% drop in one day - the ISEQ dropped 13% today? Did it? As in was it already down and just added to?

It's grand between about half ten and 12 on a Monday morning. Goes down hill after that. Think I'll move to the Windjammer

Yes, but what percentage is that?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.
