    Are Chinese "students" economic spies?

Given their aversion to being counted and visible as evidenced by their mass evasion of census 2006 and the handpicked nature of those allowed to travel by the Chinese state and their observable interest in photography as a hobby.

Could Ireland's gombeen employing classes be facilitating industrial and economic espionage?

Not unless there is a dearth of Spars and Centras selling cans and dodgy deli food in Lingang. Though I don't think the chinese industrial workers are paid enough to spend their wages on breakfast rolls and Bacardi breezers.

Now that the gombeens have had their say.

Consider the numbers of Chinese working as evening cleaners in industrial, financial and other data sensitive areas. It's not as if the Chinese don't have a track record in advancing their own interests through such spying.

There are many international companies in Ireland too. Do they leave management of their systems security up to the likes of the posters above?

Are unvetted foreigners running loose day and night in Chinese companies and installations that the Chinese state would consider sensitive?
